These are diverse drums and their variations are many. From Bodhrans and Tars, to Bendirs, Deffs and Kanjiras, to medicinal Shamanic drums. Sylvan Temple makes a variety of frame drums, with or without jingles, rings, snares and cross bars, and to any specified depth. They are made strong, stable and beautiful by cross-laminating steam-bent rings on to lathe carved, ultra dry, one-piece shells, or by laminating layers of steam-bent wood. They are all tunable, with a key, by turning cams or discs set into the shell, or by drawing rings down opposing ropes. $180 to $400 depending on the kind of drum, its size, and the number of features requested.
